This plaque was created during a ~30 minute time limit at the Cocktails at the Castle event put on by the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, MN. 4 other artists and myself were tasked with creating a toward the end of the evening to add to the collection. The event centered around the “Son of a Birch: It's Popular Again” gallery show exhibiting 1200 birch wood from mid-century Sweden. http://www.asimn.org/exhibitions-collections/exhibitions/namethisexhibit-1200-birchwood-plaques-swedens-post-futuristic
