Northern Brewer's catalog has been the primary focus of my job for the past 7 years. I took over the singly printed annual project from the owner/president in 2005. The catalog consists of 48-84 pages of homebrewing equipment, ingredients, beer recipe kits and articles. I was personally in charge of planning and organizing the entire book as well as laying it out and being the chief illustrator and product photographer. For a time, Northern Brewer also printed and distributed its own winemaking catalog. This catalog's focus on winemaking allowed customers to easier ignore the wealth of brewing supplies that Northern Brewer offered and focus on the quality wine kits and equipment. Northern Brewer now prints comfortably over 1 million copies of its catalog every year.
